Temple of doom destroyed

Reader comment on item: 100 Bin Ladens on the Way?

Submitted by Geraldine Shapiro (United States), Apr 8, 2003 at 15:18

In a scene straight out of "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", it was reported that coaltion forces liberated more than 100 Iraqi children imprisoned for refusal to join the Ba'ath party youth branch. Rather than become dead dupes for the likes of Saddam or bin Laden, these kids and their grateful families experienced a first-hand lesson in the power and goodness of the credo of freedom-loving peoples for doing the right thing. I doubt that the likes of Al Jazeera has the moral insight to give this story the coverage it deserves.
