Respecting Iraqi Ways

If/when all of those things in the article come true, it should set a good example for the rest of the Arab world (not necessarily Arab leadership). However, in a free society the outcome of elections will be the will of the people. What if the will of the people of Iraq believes that an Islamist state will satisfy their needs and desires? We see how it has affected Iran; and even Turkey, our stalwart NATO ally, under their new Islamic government, found it in their best interests to deny US forces use of Turkish territory to establish a northern front in Iraq.

I believe we are about to enter into a very delicate situation, one that I certainly have no answers given our country's stated goals after the Sadaam regime change.
