Respect Earned or Demanded?

Reader comment on item: Finding Allah in Unlikely Places
in response to reader comment: SHOW SOME RESPECT

Respect what? A religion that beheads others for non-conversion? How can one claim a perfect religion that promoted zero tolerance toward others of a different faith? I summit to you that ,yes ,there is a perfect religion and it is most definitely not Islam- It is offered by the Christ of the Bible and the solution to all wars. To love and do good to those that hate you is as far above Islam as the sky is above the sea. With this simple thought all wars simply disappear towards a society that looks towards the betterment of others instead of the betterment of one's self.

But I fear that this simple thought is above Islamic understanding- so the idea of turning the other cheek is far too profound for those who promote an "eye for an eye"-and by their actions surpass that towards " Kill all Infidels"(or at least lets kill all infidels that do not submit). It is the opinion of this writer that Islam mistakes are not only misunderstanding beliefs of Christianity but also fail to understand that God did not instruct us to turn the cheeks of others and leave our families and friends defenceless and that our God (Yahweh)is a God of war also- So if the son's of Ishmael want to survive then I suggest for them to read the book of Revelations (Holy Bible)mand allow that there is only one winner( for the prophecies themselves prove the Holy Bible to be true). Those that die out to self for Christ-Thereby earning respect not demanding it as a child does.
