Reader comment on item: Finding Allah in Unlikely Places
in response to reader comment: Dont Muslims worship a metorite?

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Aug 21, 2012 at 01:25

Dear Dr Pipes,

Islam obviously is against idol worship Muslims will always claim they they do not worship the prophet but the reality is very different. I do not know what is the definition of worship but I surely know many more Muslims who will kill others to protect the name of Muhammad than I know Christians who will kill in the name of Jesus or Buddhists who will kill to defend Buddha or Hindus who will kill to defend their gods. So ironically, the religion that takes monotheism to an extreme also most intricately links a man's name with the God's. But, then, Muslims have made Islam a bundle of contradictions.
