Lebanon and Syria strategic allianceReader comment on item: American Intifada Submitted by REX (United States), Dec 19, 2009 at 22:30 Lebanon is now talking about a strategic alliance with Syria. It seems like Syria is ready to go on the warpath. Syria has been meeting with the Iranians and Turks over the last few weeks. Sudan has a military alliance with Iran; Sudan has also met with Turkish officials. Hamas imports weapons which travel from Iran to the Sudan to Egypt and then are smuggled into Gaza. Lebanon and Syria alliance proves that Hezbullah actually runs the Lebanese government and the USA should not send weapons to Lebanon which will fall into Hezbullah's hands.
