Reader comment on item: American Intifada
in response to reader comment: So when was the Israelite exodus from Egypt?

Submitted by Rex (United States), Apr 18, 2012 at 21:23

Jacob's family (Genesis 34:24-25) slew all the males of Shechem and God terrorized the cities around Shechem (Genesis 35:5-6) as Jacob and his family fled to Bethel.

Egyptian king Senusret III had a battle near Shechem. Senusret III then annexed Canaan. Joseph managed both the economies of Canaan and Egypt. (Genesis 47:13-17)

Egyptian and Biblical history can be linked if one looks closely at the Egyptian Canaanite connection.
