"Islamic Supremacy"

Reader comment on item: "At War with Islamic Fascists"

Submitted by GS Brand (United States), Aug 15, 2006 at 19:03

Dear Mr. Daniel Pipes,

It is so interesting how much the definition/terminology of the threat matters... at least the vague war on terror is being more clearly defined by the use of the phrase "Islamic Fascists". I do agree with you on the "fascist" part being a bit off the mark, but I was somewhat pleased to hear the new definition of the enemy by our president. It seems to have been generated from Newt Gingrich's use of the term.

Your blogmail today reminded me of when I questioned you about the possible relevance of my suggestion of the term "Islamic Supremacy" to denote the threats facing the world.
