We need a naming contest

I prefer a term that would denigrate the group rather than dignify it. Something with the possibility to override the glorified term of Suicide Bomber. This is after all a conflict brought about by the tactic of operating outside any state authority to slaughter innocent men, women and children. Every ethnic group has its outlaws. If we want to speak respectfully about Muslims while being very specific about Muslim combatants and their supporters and coaches, we need a term that conjures up the image of what they truly represent. Its a comic-strip image: cold-blooded mass murderers with a 7th century mentality living in a time warp, backward and unsuccessful culturally, and terrified of losing the only power given to them by their co-religionist fanatics: the power and duty to slaughter their cultural competitors, and to enslave, abuse and murder their own women -their own sisters and wives under Sharia law. Laws, by the way, they have attempted to introduce into the Canadian legal system.

We need a naming contest. A name in 2 words or less to connote several things: 'backward' for not creating a thing in the last dozen centuries, 'fanatic' for acting out the most violent interpretation of the Koran, 'mass murderers' for obvious reasons, 'gullible' for allowing themselves to be seduced by politically ambitious Mullahs, and 'nuisance' because, although they can annoy us, they aren't going to 'win' anything. I'd like to see us take the risk of not dignifying them with a term like Islamist. We can't behave respectfully toward these people and defend ourselves at the same time. How about Islamist Mafia -for the criminal organization they are.
