Marxism, Leninism, Fascism, Islamism, Enemies of the Enlightenment

Reader comment on item: "At War with Islamic Fascists"

The modern (i.e. Kant and beyond) corruption of the whole field of philosophy has led to America's confusion in clearly naming the enemy that we must destroy. However, clarity is easy to achieve if you focus on essential principles. The essential principles under assault by Marxism, Leninism, Fascism, Nazism, and Islamism are the Enlightenment principles. These Enlightenment principles are: the exclusive use of reason and science, inalienable individual rights, and the sanctity of individual freedom with its corrollary free markets. Each of these perverse political *-ism movements seeks to destroy the Enlightenment principles. Every nation where these perverse *-ism movements have seized power have soon degenerated into poverty, starvation, disease, and mass murder as Dr. Andrew Bernstein documents in his book "The Capitalist Manifesto".

America was born as the child of the Enlightenment and Enlightenment principles. Therefore, all of these perverse, totalitarian movements naturally seek her annihilation. It is very important to name your enemy correctly in order to more quickly and effectively destroy them. The proper name for America's enemy is totalitarian statism. It makes little difference whether in a given era that enemy goes by the name Pietism or Marxism or Communism or Nazism or Islamism, the real enemy is always the greatest enemy of the Enlightenment, totalitarian statism, or in the current crisis Islamic Statism.
