Reader comment on item: "At War with Islamic Fascists"
in response to reader comment: The Ruthless Fascist Army with 1.4 billion soldiers called ISLAM

I am afraid that the writer of this article suffers acutely from a phobia about Islam and Muslims. As a muslim, I can assure you that Islam teaches nothing but a peaceful coexistence with followers of other religious beliefs and faiths. In fact, Islam emphasizes the preserving of the rights of non-believers within an Islamic state and if history is not distorted for political purposes, it wont be difficult to establish it with examples where non-muslims were allowed to live peacefully within Islamic states in past.

Whenever the Muslim army marched on some foreign land, they offered the local populace with either to accept Islam or to pay the tax money known as jizya or face death. In case the people offered to pay the tax money, it was binding on the government to protect their lives and property against any threat whatsoever.

We are living in a world that is getting more and more paranoid about Islam and one of the main reasons for the ever increasing violence on earth is this negative propaganda about a religion that in its very name i.e. Islam (peace) carries the message of peace for all humanity.
