Reader comment on item: White House Nonchalance toward the Middle East
in response to reader comment: CHALLEGE 6W: Answering Lisa and more

thanks for the invite, however in reading it, my only real response can only be "i am sorry you feel that way"...

first, i don't consider myself a defender of Islam - it, like its Originator, really doesn't need any. However, i do like to engage from time to time in discourse with people about religion and about Islam when i percieve rampant prejudice and misconception...

i read your post, and it was simply a 2000-word self-centered insult aimed at Muslims, full of preconcieved notions/reflections, many of which are not correct and/or stereotypical, such as, "where you are from..." (I am from Texas, lol)

granted, it was a long post, and i will at least say i can appreciate you willing to share your reflections, but I'd venture to guess that Muslims who read it simply don't find much to dignify with a response...such reflections are fast becoming a dime-a-dozen, and by now warrant not much more than a sympathetic head-shake

if you do have honest questions (read: not rhetorical) i suggest there are better ways to pose them - and i am sure then they will lead to answers that you might find illuminating...
