Reader comment on item: White House Nonchalance toward the Middle East

Submitted by Tim Bush (United States), Mar 25, 2006 at 10:57

My wife is a Muslim... I am Christian... That is not legal in Islam... For this reason, I had to convert to Islam in order to marry her... But I do not follow Islam... In fact I go to church nearly every Sunday... I believe Islam is an ancient cult created by a man who felt Christianity was a little too "soft" for his tastes...

There are many marriages like mine... Islam has strict, intolerant rules that make converting out of Islam nearly impossible... This is the only reason anyone can say Islam may be growing - its like the mafia, once you are in you cant leave !!...

Islam has reached its peak... It does not fit with the direction the world is moving and therefore I believe it will experience rapid decline within the next 300 years... But Christianity will too... In fact, any organized religion that says, "we are right, and you are wrong" will not survive much longer (300 - 400 years tops)... It just doesn't fit and it leaves people wondering about the other x billion people out there...

Good news for those who dislike Islam and bad news for those who like Christianity (like me) because I believe all major ORGANIZED religions will experience major decline within the next half millennia…
