Reader comment on item: White House Nonchalance toward the Middle East

Submitted by John R. Peacher (United States), Mar 21, 2006 at 08:26

The unwillingness of the American Administration to admit that Islamist rule and reign in the Muslim world, very evident in Iran and to varying degrees elsewhere, will have dire consequences for Israel in particular and America in general. There is no place to hide when over 1 billion people on this planet believe in the Koran and what it says regarding Jews and infidels and how they should be treated. In the very near future, Israel, the "canary in the coal mine" will be forced by the world community of nations to surrender her nuclear weapons and abandon more land to radical elements, some wearing western suits, but none the less terrorists whose only desire is the demise of the nation of Israel first, then the rest of the socially progressive democratic governments of the planet. Democracy is not the answer when a majority of the population, as in the Gaza and West Bank, have a terrorst mindset and vote for Hamas, a terrorist entity whose goals have been proclaimed for years; the violent destruction of another nation.

Until we face this fact and realize it as fact we are sowing the seeds of our own destruction.
