Someone in the White House appears to be dreaming with his/her eyes open. Dr. Pipes correctly points out the preponderance of Middle-East-associated caveats in the report (but let's politely gloss over Saudi Wahabia) while downplaying our gluttunous dependence on ME oil.

I admit I'm no foreign analyst with years of Langley, VA, experience, but it seems to me like there's an awful lot of forked-tongue BS-ing in this new document. Time may tell, but the White House certainly isn't going to.
