Reader comment on item: Arabian Sex Tourism

No but when I travelled in March of this year and last year about this time I noticed allot of Arabs, which arose my curiosity in what they do here other then enjoy the fun and leisure the place has to offer (mind you this started in 98 on my way back from the middle east, I've never seen so many men change from one out fit to another before arriving in the Thai capital).

So I started to speak to some locals I made friends with and they explained what some of them come here for and do (these are workers(sex) and some are bar maids and the other Xpats from NZ, Australia, U.S and Germany). They explained to me that most of the Middle Eastern men only come here because they are homosexual and this is one of the many safe places from them to come out and be themself, which is fine I completely understand.

I pursued it more and was pointed towards a individual which turns out he is a Pimp/drug dealer/taxi driver/tour guild I used him as a tour guild nothing else so I had to give him a nice tip and asked him about what most Arabs he knows come here and ask him for, this came as almost no surprise to me, they wanted little Thai boys!

He explained to me since Sri Lanka cracked down over there, most have made there way here to Thailand to continue their sick behaviour. I asked him how do they get away with it "Its very easy my friend all you need is money and if you have allot like them you can buy your way out of anything" which is another no surprise. I questioned him how often he is asked for it he said there are many and wouldn't give me a estimation, but when I pushed it with him he said PLENTY of them, which gave me a very cold chill in 38c weather.

So I asked him where do they take them I know the hotel wont let them do it in there, he explained to me that most times they have pre arranged for a house which they would rent while on holiday with there wife and children are in the hotel at night.

With that being said to me I wanted to see for myself, so that night I spoke to a few Thai friends and explained to them where I'm going and the reason for it, as normal they gave me be careful and not to speak to anyone I don't know about this topic. So I made my way down there with an escort ( one of the senor ladies at the bar I drink at made one of the bikes come with me to make sure I come back alive, every calls her Mama don't know her real name). He showed me where it all happens in the gay strip which was a mixture of old German men and Arabs with a few westerners. How did I know they are German and Arabs when they spoke to one another.

So the gentleman that was escorting me around this area started to point out that those on the laps of these men are boys between the age of 14 to 20 something all have false ID so they cant be arrested. This when I started becoming very sick and was taken back to the bar and I chucked for the next half an hour.

After that I didn't want to see the area again and I stay clear of it.

Too make matter worse you see these same people during that day with there family as though nothing happened the night before.
I wish I had taken a camera with me; at least you could pass this information on to the relevant authorities.
