Asim Ahmed,
Sir, you are totally missing the point.

1. You are referring to 19-century slavery in the US, which is condemned and abolished long time ago. Slavery has never been practiced by the name of God or Jesus and slave traders were never looking for excuse in the sacred texts.

2. Drugs, prostitution, gambling - are the same things. By no means these can be justified by Judeo-Christian morale and Judeo-Christian world clearly admits it. Does Islam condemn the fact that Afganistan has become a drug capital of the world? If yes, does it do anything about it? In the USA - there are quite clear laws available regulating these sins.
