Islam, retrograde by default, to its own peril, is the surest safeguard of "American interests"

Reader comment on item: Arguing over "Can Islam Be Reformed?"
in response to reader comment: Islam is islamist by default, based on its very foundation, the murderous example of Mohammed and his teachings eternalised in the Quran, reform forever forestalled by its founder

If you still think it's amusing you presumably still haven't understood the gravity of the situation, in spite of your occupation with it: Islam is ethically unacceptable, because of its murderous prophet and the Quran's commandments of violent discrimination, coercion and subjugation. Islam is a perversion of religion, religiously tainted fascism, not exclusive like Judaism, but egalitarian and coercively inclusive and agressively expansive, repressing freedom and crippling thought and thinking, over time debilitatingly retrograding all the cultures it incorporated. And not only is Islam ethically unacceptable, it also is superfluous: Nothing in it hasn't been there already at least 1'000 years earlier, in Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Hinduism and Judaism, and 600 years earlier in Christianity.

The ethical standard required for beings of all kinds, and certainly for humans, to live together amicably, does not require justification or commandment by supreme beings. The "golden rule" is simple and easy: "Don't do to others what you don't like to be done to yourself." Now the very name "Islam" implying "submission" (everybody "submitted" we have the "peace" of a graveyard), Muslims would argue that they want to submit themselves under what they believe to be the "law of Allah", their supposed supreme being and creator of the universe, and therefore they might claim to want to be submitted in case of a transgression of their own: Their choice, but not necessarily everybody's. So what needs to be added to the golden rule is that it's left to everyone to decide for her or himself what he or she likes to be done unto, for as long as she or he did not transgress this respective freedom of others. This is a practical base to start from. Islam being coercive by default, with its very foundation denying this base is what makes it islamist by default, principally, and whenever the situation is deemed right by them, some especially "pious" Muslims will act accordingly, seeing themselves justified by the "eternally unalterable" quranic cals for the conversion, subjugation or killing of all "infidels", and by the respective "holy" example of their murderous "last prophet"

It is utterly foolish to assume that Muslims will not act islamist, when their accepted inacceptable foundation of their beliefs unmistakeably prescribes forever, unchangeably, the aggressive expansion of Islam whenever the situation allows it, until world-dominion is finally achieved. Muhammad, if I'm not mistaken, according to one Hadith, was told by his own wife that Allah seemed to be in a hurry to supply Mohammad with visions serving his desires: She was a sceptic too. "Promoting American interests", instead of promoting humanity's interest, you are subscribing to a kind of "fascism" too, chasing fata morganas of islamic reform, while you certainly realise that the safest guarantee for American interests in the Middle East, to its own peril, is Islam, its developement and evolution forever forestalled in its very foundation, its people, therefore, forever retrograde, unable to compete with advancing societies. Islam's only way forward is to give up its prophet and the Quran, which most likely amounts to the only way forward being one without Islam, leaving behind what for centuries has been a large part of the world's major barrier against development, replacing it all with love, science and the golden rule. Islam inevitably will destroy itself, as its tautologism is debilitating and crippling freedom of thought, creativity and innovation. If you love Muslims and the Middle East, help them to get rid of Islam - even though Islam is the surest safeguard of "American interests".
