Absolutely you are right, Islam does not advocate killing of innocent people.

But Islam considers non-believers as non-innocent by definition. The Koran does advocate killing them, because they don't believe, in quite clear Arabic verses, promises the best of paradise to those who will obey (kill and be killed in the path of God), declares them superior to peaceful Muslims, and never contradicts itself on that point. And the Tradition shows us that Muslims are not supposed to understand this metaphorically.

And I don't think that someone from Qatar would ignore it.
