Reader comment on item: Bridges TV, a Wife's Beheading, and Honor Murder
in response to reader comment: He was a Muslim, and he was an AMERICAN

invisible eye you are comparing two different things.

KKK members were liable to be prosecuted for their crimes. It took years in some cases, but the criminals were put on trial. The New Testament doesn't condone violence.

Other people who commit violent crimes cannot avoid prosecution due to their religions.

In Muslim countries, very light or no penalties at all are imposed upon honor murderers. The men who commit them know that members of their community will hide them from law enforcement if their country has laws against honor murder (as in Jordan) or spirit them back to their home country from European states to avoid the Western law.

Most of the perpetrators in Islamic countries calmly report their crimes to the police, who do nothing against them. The family members and community of the murderers honor them for their restoring of family honor.

Sharia law does not consider honor murders a crime. Western law does.
