Reader comment on item: Bridges TV, a Wife's Beheading, and Honor Murder

Submitted by ravin black (United States), Feb 15, 2009 at 18:45

after reading the news articles...i had a couple of questions

but first, it would appear that Aasiya Hassan a victim of domestic violence being in a state of denial (a common thing) wanted to start this tv station to prove to herself that islam was a peaceful religion and she wasn't being abused...very common syndrome...

so, did aasiya find out that the abuse she denied in her relationship went further when it came to what was allowed to be aired by the investors of the station?

this Khalid J. Qazi, president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council of Western New York talks to mr. hassan one week before aasiya is killed...the same time as the order of protection and divorce was filed...and qazi says the business problems were not affecting the marriage...is that a pathological cover up to not connect the station and the killing?

were is the murder weapon? where did mr. hassan go before arriving at the police station? and did he have an accomplice?

just a couple of thoughts and domestic violence isn't only in islam
