in response to reader comment: anna-verses in bible re-treating women badly

Submitted by Anna (United States), Mar 11, 2009 at 13:59

Sura 3:54 says: "And the unbelievers schemed against Jesus but God brought their scheming to nought: for God is above all schemers"

The meaning of this verse that people can scheme and plan how much they want, but God is the Almighty and he can change their plans however he wills.
How can you misinterpret that? Have you read the Quran? Do you know anything about Islam? You think God wants to deceive his own people? Please read the suras in context and don't parse the words to fit your thinking.

From hadith we know that when Muhammad (pbuh) was asked what kind of a man is the most beloved to God, the prophet answered 'the one who treats his wife the best'.

It disappoints me that people like you pick out verses out of Quran, twist them around so they mean something absolutely different, and point at them with Islamophobia in their eyes. I just finished reading couple of books on how the Bible has been corrupted and why we have so many version of it. Quran's content has not been touched since the 8th century. I dare to say I know more about both religions because I educated myself, and THEN I opened my mouth in regard to them. Not the other way around.

Read the history of Bible making and about the prophecies in the Bible about Islam and Muhammad.
