Politcal Correctness Gone Berserk

Reader comment on item: [Beslan Atrocity:] They're Terrorists - Not Activists

Submitted by Margaret Broomfield (Canada), Sep 17, 2004 at 10:40

I heard on our public radio (CBC) this moring that one of our newspapers (National Post) has had to print an apology for changing the word 'insurgent' to 'terrorist' in a reprinted news report. I do not agree with most of the Post's opinions, but I feel ashamed for all of humanity when murder is condoned and our 'free press' itself is terrorised into submission by fear. This happened with the so called 'Irish conflict, ' a blueprint for success for all thugs aspiring to grab power.
