Reader comment on item: [Beslan Atrocity:] They're Terrorists - Not Activists

Submitted by Jasonn (United States), Sep 8, 2004 at 10:33

I wish I could say I don't understand why these groups refuse to recognize terrorists for what they are. But, unfortunately, their political ambitions are largely opposed to stable regimes, like the US and Russia. They identify with the terrorists in some bizarre fashion. I don't like big government, can't stand the tax code and didn't approve of the way the Branch Dividians were handled in Waco Texas by my government. But there is no doubt in my mind that Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist and deserved death. I wish Arab sympathizers could as logically condemn all terrorists.
