Some birdbrains both in Washington and E.U. fail to understand this fact and think Turkey is too secular to be an example to the Islamic world and try to water it down through akp. They can't see that what is happening in Afganistan is the result of the same shortsighted policy. Supporting akp in their effords to eliminate the checks and balances of the secular system will only help create Talibans, Ahmadinejads in suits.
