it's great that still people like him are writing this...

Reader comment on item: Crisis in Turkey

Submitted by A.T. (Turkey), Mar 5, 2010 at 16:40

yes it's great that the mass media has one more example to the offensive thought of Turkey and Islam in a whole.

I just want to note that Turkey is a country where at least 80percent are Muslim; so we can't speak of making it an islamistic country because, in one way, it already is. When I think back of the time when the military "corrected the mistakes" (the quotes may not be all in all right because I read the german translation on a german newspaper called die Welt) Turkey was in one word a mess. They fell back 30 years in economical ways and many other factors...

Oh, that doesn't mean that they don't need their army but the only thing is it should intervene in things in which it doesn't need to intervene.
Well, another thing is no one wants the sharia... If Turkey would have the sharia that would be far away from being a democracy, which is the aim of it and which Turkey has gained to be called so, though there are still many things to be solved (the the army!). It would be totally controverse to the democracy to let the army independent! Give me one country whose army is independent and call itself a democracy?!
Whatever...
The whole thing with balyoz, according to this article, seems to be just a little game from AKP, which it is definitely not. The officers weren't arrested without any reason. But if someone wants to know more about it will definitely read more than this article.

Oh I really wish that Atat├╝rks legacy will be hold high... but no one does! According to him the country should do and behave to the modern times but the least who does so is the army.

I don't know why I am even writing that here, because neither Mr D. Pipes will read our comments nor will the people who think that Mr. Pipes has written the whole truth believe in a word written after some research, which I think that almost none has done here.

Just believe in just one persons opinion and make it your own...

"Before speaking to your counterpart, you should know him even better than yourself..."

ah yeah, if this comment should be editted even in one word I dont want it to be published on this site
