It would be interesting if Pipes follows up on this post and looks more deeply into why the historically secular Army is declining in power and Islam is rising in Turkey. Turkey's military has permitted the country to become a transshipment point in global sex trafficking, including European women into the Arab world. Turkey has become a shameful public sewer on the world stage and if the generals won't clean it up because they are on the take from the global pimps, then unfortunately the Islamists will (and then take their cut).

Link below on Turkey and Sex Trafficking. What a disgusting place. After Saudi Arabia, my second favorite place to see burning. They need a good civil war to clean out the filth of all types. Even Iran has more inherent nobility among the people.
