Hi Dr. PIpes,

Regarding the current situation in Turkey ,
Do not you think that alike Communism , Kemalism also has proven to be a God which is not able to deliver and henceforth it should be rejected ?

When you say that current Turkish situation is very special for Muslims worldwide , I want to differ with you on that.
Remember when Mustafa Kemal abolished the Caliphate 90 years ago and made Turkey a secular state there were no domino effect around the wide Muslim world.

Similarly I would like to tell you that Turkey was not considered a model by any of the Muslim countries prior to AKP thanks to the heavy handed autocratic military rule.
