Our dear Abd Allah wrote

>In fact, it was not until just a couple of weeks ago that I found out Sheikh Yusuf Hamza was not an Arab.

Really? Then you are beyond clueless

And your little lesson for today is about accents and Hamza's accent in a language (and in this case Arabic) is a function of the way he vocalizes his vowels in his first language which is English and this is why you can tell when an let us say American speaks Arabic and he will always have an accent in Arabic and nothing is wrong with that

> I had previously thought him to be Moroccan because of his physical appearance, and because the Moroccans are known to pronounce words as they are written in Arabic, what we call "Proper Arabic" or Fus'ha.

His speakes maghrabi Arabic? so his accent is magharbi Arabic? are you for real? Did you ever listen to him?and there are Arabs out there that speak 3Arabi faseeh and real Arabs can understand them?

>His Arabic is better than that of native Arabs.

This alone speaks volumes for the state of education in the Arab world even you: you come here and tell us the bogus idea that the letters in the Arabic language stem from a 2-4 letter stems. Remember? and for this I say shame and I can see Sibawayhe the father of Arabic grammar turning in his grave

>Notice I said Native Arabs, and not Native Speakers, because his Arabic is above the level of Native speakers. The reason for this is because he has spent his years studying the Quran. The Quran, which till this day is stated by all Arabs, including Christian Arabs, to be the very best of Arabic literature in existence.

Really? the Qur'an is a confused and confusing book that is violent and does not make any sense without reading the commentaries about it and do you think that may be Christian Arabs tell you that it such a great book but behind closed doors they have a different opinion? What do you think?

If I was an Arab I would rather read Nageeb Mahfouz then read the Qur'an. It is a violent book

> Anyone who uses this great book as his means of learning the Arabic dialect will certainly surpass the average Arab, who does not learn it entirely, but merely knows a few verses or surahs.

What great book? the Qur'an is a great book? really?

>I never heard Sheikh Yusuf Hamza "mumble", as you say. Perhaps you could substantiate your claims?

I heard him speaking in San Francisco a few years ago so how do you propose that I prove this?

>There are a few videos of him on youtube and other internet hosting websites with him speaking pretty eloquently. Furthermore, the fact that he is from the west makes it shameful that he defends Arabic Culture?

Oh Arabic culture! The imperialism of the Hijazi Arabs

>There is suddenly something wrong with people from one culture, defending other cultures?

He is not defending a culture he is a wannabe arab big difference

>That goes against the past 50 years of American foreign policy and American Culture. Why has the US gone into all the wars it has for the past 50 years, if it was not to defend others culture and universal human rights?

What deos this have to do with the fact that he is no more than another vicitm of the Arabs and their imperialism?

It wasn't for profiting at the expense of others was it? "He aint no Arab", true. But he is a Muslim, and for us Arabs, that is more than enough for us to embrace him with open arms, and call him brother.

But like I say the Qur'an says wa ma arsalna min rasulan ila bilisani qawmihi

So who was the prophet that your Allah sent to the qawm of Hamza Yusuf because he ain't Muhammad you tell us ya ayuha al-falyasoof al-kabeer?
