I dont understand the racial element here. Do you see that not all women in the picture have hijab on? Do you think Islam mandates the hijab just for white women and all other women do not have to wear it?

As to the idea that Islam makes women cover to deny their "own identdity or personality" I guess you have not visited Christian churches in Ethiopia, amoungst the oldest in the world, where women are required to cover in the church and sit seperated from the men? I think you have also not been to Israel where you can see Orthodox Jewish women who cover their head with cloth that looks exactly like the hijab.

How is Islam to blame for both of these? Are these women just as oppressed as Muslim women?
