Chris G, I have been reading your posts here and find you have a refreshingly novel way of dealing with Muslims. Instead of considering every man jack of them as ready to wield a knife or bomb to kill us infidels, your method seems to be to use their own scriptures to convince even the more ferociously militant among them of the error of their ways.

Good luck to you. Chris G. Yes there is some cognitive dissonance developing in Muslim minds with the violence perpetrated by their brothers and and the disconnect with what their "intellectuals" tell them about their religion of peace.

Moderate Muslim is perhaps a contradiction in terms. Some posters on this forum may disagree, but that Muslims are humans is not contradictory. That Muslims go through a very severe kind of indoctrination is obvious from the fact that grown educated Muslims will admit to loving their Prophet more than their parents and children and will kill to defend what they consider is his fair name. One of those rare instances of nurture ovecoming nature. The price that a Muslim pays for being a Muslim is heavy. But the burden is more than lightened with the illusion they carry that paradise awaits them.

You must have noticed the amazing mental gymnastics Muslim posters display with truth, logic and history. But being humans with the capacity to think logically, even if skewed and crippled by their theology, the dissonance is sure to grow with the growing reach of the internet and other communication media. Whatever it is that you are planning I wish you luck and hope you succeed.

I have debated with several Muslims on DanielPipes. I use the simple technique of using their own scriptures to try and show them that what they believe about their religion is not supported by what is contained in their holy books. When they find there is no escape from the truth that is staring them in the face they fade away, hopefully to do a rethink on their beliefs.

It is easy enough to do that as their holy books are a mass of contradictions, cruel injunctions, threats, inducements with sybaritic pleasures and a Prophet whose depradations are recorded by his own admiring followers.

Once again good luck in your endeavor.
