Don't bother defending Hamza Yusuf. The people here are convinced that you, him, and all other Muslims who advocate peace and tolerance are simply practicing taqqiyah and "stealth Jihad".

I tried for a long time to encourage the members here to support moderate traditional Islamic leaders, but got nothing but personal attacks and total refusal by anyone to listen to what I was saying except for a small number of individuals.
