Bush's hypocrisy

Reader comment on item: [The Road Map:] Learning from Oslo

Submitted by Kathy Sanford (United States), Jun 11, 2003 at 12:16

Sadly, I believe that the "roadmap" will bring even greater disaster upon Israel than Oslo did. Already there are signs that the pressure will be brought to bear on Israel by this administration for the success of this "peace initiative," and that not much will be made of repeated Palestinian violations.

Already, President Bush is "troubled" by Israel's moves of self defense. It is the same old, same old.

And even by anouncing ahead of time that the goal is a Palestinian State, the stage is set for more terrorism. Because what we have is a President who wages war against terror waged against the U.S., while trying to tie Israel's hands against waging war against the murderers of Israelis. In fact Israel must make peace with these murderers by giving them land! The terrorists, though profoundly evil, are not stupid. They see that terror against Israel is ultimately rewarded, so there will be more.

There will also be more terrorism directed at the United States... The Roadmap is a terrible idea, and ought to be abandoned right away.
