Myth of "occupation"Reader comment on item: [The Road Map:] Learning from Oslo Submitted by Observer (United States), Jun 12, 2003 at 01:18 Could someone explain, why EVERY other victorious side throughout history was entitled to keep the territory it won in a military conflict, yet Israel, somehow is supposed to relinquish it?All of the so called "sponsors" of the roadmap, US, EU and Russia are guilty of "landgrabbing" and the land they collectively grabbed is TENS OF THOUSAND TIMED LARGER than the tiny West Bank, yet these same sponsors are in no hurry to give back the land. Did US give back Texas to Mexico? Fat chance. Did France give back Alsace? Savoy? Corsica? No, no and no. Did Russia give back East Prussia? Curil Islands? Parts of Poland secretly split by the Molotov-Ribbentrop Treaty with Nazi Germany? It's not even even funny. How can the world community then demand with the straight face that Israel give back its land?
