DAN PIPES IS RIGHT ON TARGET

Reader comment on item: [The Road Map:] Learning from Oslo

Submitted by JERRY BORIS (United States), Jun 10, 2003 at 16:19

Dan Pipes has intimated IF the White House acts realistically; but they won't. They are simply using Israel as bait to seduce the Arabs, who are never seduced but only appeased momentarily. The white House and of course, the State Dept. under Colin Powell, are willing to sell Israel down the river. As Winston Churchill said long ago, "if you appease the crocodile, it only assures he will eat you last."
We are fooled because today the US is powerful; but times change and who will be our friend when we need one?
