Iraq National MuseumReader comment on item: [Looting:] An Iraqi Tragedy Submitted by Daksha Howard (United States), Apr 23, 2003 at 15:24 I couldn't agree more with this article. It's amazing to me that so many in the world want to put the blame squarely on the shoulders of America. Has anyone given the thought to the fact that many of the historical items may have been removed by Saddam's men prior to the war?It would not surprise me if many of the artifacts were removed by Saddams regime just so the world could blame the USA. After all, there was a lot of talk about how the Coalition forces should be very careful to avoid bombing the National Museum. I'm sure that after hearing this, Saddam may have decided to have many of the historical artifacts removed. There is nothing this evil man is and was not capable of.
