Very sad

Reader comment on item: [Looting:] An Iraqi Tragedy

Submitted by Fenix (United States), Apr 22, 2003 at 14:16

Very sad! It was bound to happen. Looting sometimes happens when you don't restore order in time and givin the fact these people have suffered so long.

There is a light side though.... People have formed watches to guard against looting, religious leaders are putting up signs in arabic condenming stealing from the Koran and many of the items have been returned. We had better do something to clean up after the mess saddam left behind.

At least the ordeal is over though. The people are now free. Lets all pray Bush and our troops restore order.
