An Iraqi Tragedy

Is there something in the psyche of muslims or the Koran that incubates or presents the opportunity for such self-degradation and self-loathing? If they denigrate themselves then what actions will they take against the guardians who try to keep them from these tendencies? Can one ever demonstrate a constructive alternative to these negative manifestations? bobh
