Marshall Plan & Possible Sources of Enmity

Reader comment on item: Strange Logic in the Lebanon War

Submitted by IBK (United States), Aug 16, 2006 at 01:08

What about the Marshall Plan after WWII?

Also, might have enmity in Iran (and elsewhere in middle east) have some root in a CIA toppling of Shah Palevi's predecessor who, a recent documentary showed, was a secular, popularly elected (I recall) leader?

Also, have you heard about a '30-year old' plan - a strategy formulated and passed down generations of neo-cons - to somehow, someday gain control over some large oil-producer in mideast to protect our vital, strategic energy interests in this unstable region?

Please correct or complete these ideas or give opinion. Thanks.

Daniel Pipes replies:

I deal with the Marshall Plan model at “Attack U.S. and Win Aid.”

No, I have not heard about this 30-year plan and hope no one believes in such nonsense.
