Jonathan Keiler writes:

" Israel's goals in the war were never clear, and shifted constantly with the ebb and flow of battle. Israeli leaders and spokesmen constantly contradicted each other, while the entire campaign was mired in indecision and vacilation. It's hard to be "on message" in such circumstances."

How can Israel's goal be clear when Bush back in the US, was holding the reins. It was a long-distance controlled war, in which possibly Israeli leaders had no heart. It was not Israel's war. It was a proxy war on behalf of Bush and Cheney. And they both have outdone Bud Abbott and Costello, in their team work to stage a farce of a war in Iraq as well as in Lebanon. Only this was not any silver screen comedy. It cost human lives.
