Reader comment on item: Strange Logic in the Lebanon War

Dear Mr. Pipes.

What is obviousis that Islamists are practicing an art of treachery that has divine sanctions. They are adept and expert at this...as you can recall from the fact that Islamists even today remember and rue the massacre of islamist in Iraq by Mongols. However, they (thanks to useful idiots of mass media) are able to whitewash from public memory the most gruesome islamic acts of crime like burning about 57 people alive in a train coach in Gujrat in India.

This is a very unusual war....and Islamists are leaving no stone unturned. That can partly explain why outcast gangs of merchant robbers gained legitmacy as a religion in 7th century and survives even today.i.e. the obnoxious combination of butchery, divinely sanctioned fanaticism, outright inhumane treatment to women and non islamists, and surviving on slave culture i.e. Zaxziyah.

If the current war with Islamists is to be won, Islamists must be made to pay for their sins....who have enire mountain ranges honouring the massacre of their victims.
