Let Us Be Optimistic About Propaganda: A comment

An excellent and accurate observation, Mr. Bhatnagar, and one with which I whole heartedly agree.

Such an approach may yet prove useful in dealing with Iran. But the problem as I see it is the lack of a viable medium for the transmission of the proper information. The internet is a mess of confusion and if one does not know where to look he or she can become entangled in a rats nest of conflicting opinions.

We can no more control the events in cyberspace than we can control the movements of the stars and planets in the heavens and that is our greatest weakness at the moment. It is entirely too easy for predatory individuals of all sorts to take advantage of the novice internet surfer and undermine our best efforts with clever seeming arguments.

I see this all of the time in the various forums that I visit and I have often been attacked for merely expressing an opinion on some matter. The attacks have been most bitter when the subject under discussion involved matters of religion or politics. I think that few ordinary people are likely to be prepared either mentally or spiritually for such encounters and in some instances expressing an opinion in a public forum may be life threatening.
