The problem here, as I see it, is that Israel could be accused of a deliberate program of ethnic cleansing in Gaza and I know there are many who would take that up as a mantra, especially in the UN. What ever Israels moves are to be they must have an absolute rock solid legitimate legal foundation and the use of civilians as a shield of any sort in any condition does not fall under that heading.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
