Reply to Mr. SullyReader comment on item: Winning the Propaganda War [versus Radical Islam] Submitted by Seamus MacNemi (United States), Jan 1, 2006 at 23:45 You are quite correct in your observations Sir. I am not suggestng that Israel act like a sheep in this. But rather she should act as the cunning wolf. Hit hard, hit fast and do not allow the enemy time to recover before the next blow is delivered. Keep them off their feet and reeling like a punch drunk boxer by delivering repeated blows to the support mechanisms of the terrorists. We should not hesitate in the pursuit of the terrorists even if it means undertaking airial attacks on their bases inside Syria and Lebanon. Let the world know that this is what we are doing and it is all that we are doing and when the Arabs cease in their hostilities then we will likewise relent. Preemptive strikes are definately called for in this matter and need no justification. The use of RCAVs like the Predator and other remotely controlled aircraft carrying Stinger missles can be very effective in patrolling the border areas. Much more so than long range artillery which sometimes encounters targeting problems and does not provide direct and timely information about battlefield conditions and the effectiveness of our efforts in neutralizing a threat. We certainly do not lack either the technology or the expertise in its deployment and use, but I think that these means are not being utilized to their greatest effect as of yet. I think it's time for some serious upgrading of both military philosophy and tactical proceedures. Too many of our people are thinking in the past in this matter and if we don't learn to think ahead of our enemy and anticipate his likely moves we will end up on the garbage heap of history.
