Broadcasting to the Muslim WorldReader comment on item: Winning the Propaganda War [versus Radical Islam] Submitted by Leonard Markowitz (United States), Dec 27, 2005 at 18:07 It has long been incomprehensible to me why the US has neglected to use a "Voice of America" type broadcasting to the Muslim World. Al-Jazeera and other pro-Muslim broadcasts have "scooped" the US in the propagranda war. We "dropped the football" in this all important area as we did when we allocated insufficient troops for the war in Iraq allowing easy access to terrorists to infiltrate the porous, unguarded Iraqi borders. When Oh when will we get someone in charge in the White House, the Defense Department and the Pentagon, who will understand what needs to be done and how to implement it. The fickle American public will not tolerate a prolonged war. For openers, let's begin broadcasting the true version of the conflict in the Near East. Let's begin diverting our armed forces from non-sensitive areas and transfer them to Iraq &/or Afghanistan. Someone should tell the Pentagon that our armed forces stationed in Germany are not necessary. There is no German Wehrmacht or enemy Red Army anymore.
