To Mr. BhatnagarReader comment on item: Winning the Propaganda War [versus Radical Islam] Submitted by M. Saleem Akhtar (United States), Dec 30, 2005 at 14:43 Sir, one point that I would like to mention concerning India-Pakistan divide is the role of Punjabis. I do think that most carnage and infighting was in Punjab and people from both sides migrated in huge numbers. I do know a lot of Hindu Sindhis who remained in Sindh. Infact right now 1 (among 3) chief justices of Pakistan in the highest 'Supreme' court is a Sindhi Hindu.By and large, the Hindus, along with other religious Pakistani minorities such as Parsis (zoroastrians), Christians and Jewish people have lived rather well in Sindh. I do think that the pakistan-India issue is largely a Punjab-India issue. This is the same punjabi beaureacracy that is pro-mullahs and anti-india. This bureaucracy was installed in its place largely by Zia-ul-haq. I dont think Musharraf can get rid of these people too soon.
