What will be won with our "message"?

Reader comment on item: Winning the Propaganda War [versus Radical Islam]

Submitted by Ed Brophy (United States), Dec 28, 2005 at 13:12

I believe over time that the tremendous communication advances (that are accelerating) will blunt the Islamist message. An example, right now is Iran, it's young people gobbling up everything modern, electronic and Western (or Japanese). In contrast, its leaders are mired in the messages of long ago. I would guess that the young ones there find these messages very boring as the young ones in our society are bored with our "politics".

Hopefully, such change can come about before some country or terrorist group gets the bomb and uses it on us. However, in this case this rapid advance in technology is working against the West and we probably will get hit. What will happen after this "hit" I shudder to think about....
