Why is Muhammad great?

in response to reader comment: Prophet Muhammad The Greatest of All

What personal characteristics of the man, Mohammad, make him great? How do you define greatness in respect to this man?

We say Jesus is great because he carried a message of compassion, mercy, sacrifice and most of all, LOVE. He fed the hungary, healed the sick, and gave to the poor, asking nothing in return for himself. He told his followers that we should do the same and even more. He tells us to love our enemies. Jesus sacrificed his very life for sinners (all of us) so that we may have eternal life with his Father in Heaven. He did this freely...

As I learn more and more about Mohammad, and compare him to Jesus, I do not see any greatness in Muhammad. Please tell me how you define greatness.

Looking at his life, I see that he killed people, he stole from others to benefit himself, he raped women, he had a wife that was 9 years old. In my country, taking a 9 year old is child abuse, a crime. Is this man the highest example of Islam? Does he represent the religion of Islam?

He is known as a prophet. What was his prophesy?

Did he perform any miracles? What were they? Were there any witnesses to his miracles?

Jesus healed, fed the hungary, brought people back to life, cast out demons, and shared ... how to love other.

Also... if Islam decends from Abraham, why do Mosques have a Crescent Moon at the top?

Jesus teaches us how to love. In fact he says, Love your enemies."

What does your God teach? I know the koran says in many places... to KILL the infidel. So I conclude that you have a God of violence.
