Freedom of Choice Revisited

Reader comment on item: Mocking Muhammad Is Not Hate Speech
in response to reader comment: I prefer Muhammad as my savior

"I would rather Muhammad and Jesus plead for my cause…."

This is an interesting statement, one in which at the same time the supplicant is divided over which has more power to intercede and yet will not be able to rely upon both. To rely upon the words of the Islamic Prophet or to rely upon the words of Yeshua (Jesus) requires discerning who has more power before the Almighty Sovereign. In the end, it cannot be both; but we know who the supplicant who relies upon the Islamic Prophet would prefer.

"Every prophet is witness on his people, and Muhammad will be witness on all including prophets and including Jesus…."

The problem with this statement is that if Jesus Christ is not revered in His proper office, then confusion as what He would really be to the person who does not understand Him would prevail. As for eternal things, it is incomprehensible that such confusion is acceptable when it comes to the eternal destiny of an individual.

The acceptable evidence from a Biblical standpoint is that Jesus Christ is Who He Says He is. Anyone not willing to give Him His due will find that there will be no peace of mind. The Islamic Prophet does not give Jesus Christ His due nor does the Muslim gain peace of mind: if there was, then there would be no need for the fundamentalists to wage jihad.

All things being equal, since Jesus Christ did appear prior to the Islamic Prophet and Islam has yet to fully demonstrate its superiority over the worlds' religions over the words of Jesus Christ, well, it is easy to see where this is going.
