Rare occasion that we can agree

Reader comment on item: Mocking Muhammad Is Not Hate Speech

Submitted by Abdulkarim Al-habsi (Oman), Sep 25, 2012 at 00:57

I couldnt help having a smile looking at the onion cartoon. I agree with the fact that majority of my fellow muslims have tendencies to over-react violently to the point of killing each other when prophet mohammed is ridiculed.

The sad irony is that the prophet history and teaching are total opposite to what the mobs in Cairo, Bengazi and Pakistan have been doing. When the prophet mohammed went to Taif to preach the word of god, stones and rubbish was thrown at him and his companions, who reacted angrily, but the prophet stopped them from acting violently.

Many of my fellow muslims have a long way to go for them to be real Muslims.
