The person on the cross who said these words was unbeliever who was not happy that he is foresaken for his demise end. was it Jesus who was on the cross he would not have uttered such words because he was a believer and as you say that he volunteered to be sacrificed.

I give you an example :Bilal ibn Rabah was a slave under Umayyah bin Khalfa, a powerful Quraysh leader. bibla converted to Islam, when Umayyah knew, he put him in the heat tied both his arms and leges and laid him on the hot sand of the noon sun day and left him thirsty at night for few days and not only that, he put a large rock on his chest and belly and not only that, umayyah came at times of a day and slashed Bilal with a large stick at the its end long lines of leather stips.

What was Bilal saying all the time when he was asked to revert to pagan, idol worship

Ahad, Ahad, Ahad, Ahad, meaning only one, only one, only one, only one, referring to God, befre he was freed by Abu Bakr the friend of the Prophet.

The Muslims suffered 13 years on the hands of Quraysh and Makkah tribes, then they migrated to Madinah. they did not make any war against the infidels because God did not allow it.

This is what I believe Jesus would have said if he was on the cross, but I am happy to say he was not on the cross, he was not tortured by the Jews who thought they killed him as they killed many prophets before him.

God raised him before any one could laid a hand on him or had touched one single hair of him.

hallelujah
